Looking To The Future

Hey guys,

It's been a good run, and I'm going to be blunt at this stage. The development of the server has indeed staggered over the last few months and to be honest isn't improving. Even with the tripling of the team, the actually time being invested into the project has begun to diminish.

I have found it increasingly difficult to actually keep up with the operation of the server and the management of core features has taken it's toll. The hardware that we have is ageing and until new aspects of the laptop can be upgraded, can we continue the development of the server. This basically comes down to storage space issues and compatibility.

Thus effect today, I will be stepping down as Owner | Network Operations (Net Ops) for the time being. The last 4 years has been an amazing experience, one that I won't soon forget. Ever since the departure of @MC Fever , I have always strived to maintain the network to it's high standard. Most of what's been accomplished, wouldn't have been possible without the super efforts of the team here.

Especially @robrobk and @Coder_Bruce , they have spent years investing time into the project and with the support from @Biya6 and @SuperAthleteRox0 , none of this would be possible. This core team has stuck together for 4 long years, but sadly it's time to make the necessary changes that will shape the future of the server. With MC Fever's return, I feel it's time for me to take a step back and allow him to shape the server as he see's fit. I've had the greatest opportunity to shape the server for 4 long years, but now it's time for a new chapter that has been long overdue.

As updates have dwindled over the last few months, the team is in a period of transition, and they require the time to get used to the changes that have been occurring: new staff members, departures, new hardware, and updated forum software, compatibility of plugins and features, Minecraft updates and so on. Many roadblocks have taken place and they must be overcome before any more updates can take place.

At this stage, the team will hopefully release a 4.2 update that has been 2 years overdue. it won't be the update many of you are expecting, but it's a start to something new. I sincerely thank everyone for giving me this opportunity, the see the server, maps, features and community grow into what it is today.

I will slowly slip into the shadows and watch the server from afar. I hope that everyone will treat MC Fever with the same respect and passion a you guys did, 4 years ago. I know he will lead the server to greater things.

The college network will continued to be maintained by the team. I wish them the best of luck, and I look forward to what they have planned. Make sure to contact the new project leaders at the college for me information.

He's the Owner now, take care of him. Don't bug him. I will be here, but not in the way you guys may expect.
